When you take your rifle out of its carrying case…

and all the old men around you start whispering and pointing.
Some old guy was even like “So honey, how long you’ve had that there rifle for?” and when I told him it was a gift his jaw dropped and his eyes popped.

Thats when you know your dad loves you. <3
Seriously, I cannot even tell you how much I love my dad. He’s been so supportive in every sport I have ever played or got interested in. Even though I know he doesn’t go to my games (he just can’t make it which is understandable). What other dad will give you a Gary Fisher Mountain Bike (seriously, that mountain bike is my best friend) , or give you a brand new MacBook, or be willing to drive you 3 hours to go snowboarding, or look for a semi-automatic rifle for you? And he does all of that without me asking for a single thing. Not many fathers will do that and I love my dad for that. He deals with my excuses of ‘homework’ and usually lets me do as I please but seriously, I just want to write about my dad. He’s my hero. He taught me how to ride a bike, how to rollerblade, how to fix cars, most of all; how to take care of myself. Hell, he even taught me how to re-load empty cartridges! Literally, he saved my mom and her families life when they were escaping Vietnam and I don’t know a better person in my life.

I know I’m a completely selfish and irresponsible teenager sometimes, but I’m trying my best. Dad, one day I’ll have the courage to tell you all of this and you’ll probably call me stupid, smack me, and tell me to go do my homework but thank you for everything you’ve done for me. I love you dad and thank you for raising me to be the best person that I could possibly be.
